Ron’s No Frills in Hagersville Fundraiser for West Haldimand General Hospital:
From July 15 to August 1, Ron’s No Frills in Hagersville will be raising money to help support a new infant baby warmer at the West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH).
“I can’t say enough about the unwavering support of community partners like Ron’s No Frills and their loyal customers,” said Lisa Hostein, Executive Director of West Haldimand Hospital & Healthcare Foundation. “As Haldimand County continues to grow, it is vital that we raise funds to ensure we can help parents and their babies who come to our hospital for help.”
The Foundation has set a goal to raise $25,000 to purchase a new infant baby warmer that is used to keep premature babies at a proper body temperature for up to four hours without electricity.
More importantly, the infant warmer could help save lives, especially for those born premature or with low birth weight.
Ron’s No Frills is located at 160 Main St S, Hagersville, ON N0A 1H0
The West Haldimand Hospital and Healthcare Foundation has been in operation for 30 years and is a major fundraising body for the hospital. Each year WHGH is faced with the challenge of keeping up-to-date with new technology and ensuring we have the best medical equipment and tools available. The Foundation plays a pivotal role in supporting excellence in patient care at WHGH. Gifts made to the Foundation will help ensure our caregivers have the medical equipment they need to care for our patients.
The Ontario government may fund the hospital’s operations annually, but at the heart of the hospital's foundation is the community it serves. To raise funds for equipment upgrades each year, the West Haldimand Hospital and Healthcare Foundation seek donations from the community to help purchase much needed medical equipment, from blanket warmers to an ultrasound machine, used in the hospital. The community has shown time and time again that they want to support their hospital. It takes a community to support a hospital, and they continue to do so year after year.
It's important to note that every dollar the community donates will help ensure that physicians and staff at West Haldimand General Hospital have the tools and equipment they need to provide every patient with exceptional care. While West Haldimand General recognizes that the community needs and relies on their local hospital for help, WHGH also recognizes that they need the community’s support as well.
The hospital’s main mission is to ensure access to quality health care for everyone who enters our doors. Under the new leadership of President and CEO Lucy Bonnano, West Haldimand General is currently investigating potential development plans to ensure that patients will continue access to high-quality care for the years to come.
Hospital equipment is advancing rapidly with new technology making it easier to diagnose and treat diseases and disorders. The West Haldimand Hospital and Healthcare Foundation is raising money to purchase the equipment our doctors have identified as most urgent. Some items are new and some are replacement items for old and outdated equipment. Every single piece of equipment on WHGH’s wish list is vital to our hospital’s ability to offer you and those you love the very best treatment and care.
Please consider making a gift towards our 2021/22 equipment list by calling the Foundation office at 905-768-3311 extension 1236.
Thank you for your support and confidence in West Haldimand Hospital and Healthcare Foundation.
